"Might could take a trip to the 'Ville and then back"

This is what it looks like to break your leg.
Tonight I was browsing the Louisville Cardinals website in preparation for my Nov. 2 journey to see them get whooped by the visiting team.
I have 3 observations that make me dislike Louisville more than I already did.
1. Their number of seating sections for visitors/opponents is bigger than their student sections -- 6 sections for the visitors and 4 for the students. I compare this to Mountaineer field which has 10 sections for the students and 3 sections for the visitors.
2. I copied the following from the Louisville website...
"No Throwing Footballs in Parking Lots
Throwing footballs or objects of any kind is a safety hazard to others and is prohibited in the parking lots and inside the stadium. Anyone who throws objects is liable if their actions result in damage to property or injury to others. Please DO NOT THROW OBJECTS anywhere on Papa John's Cardinal Stadium grounds."
This is ridiculous. Every football game that I've ever been to -- from high school to college to the NFL (and XFL) -- I've seen kids throwing the football before the game. I've never seen anyone injured, and if it ever bounces off someone's car, then you make fun of the person who threw the ball, you apologize and keep throwing.
3. They play at Papa John's Stadium, and I hate Papa John's pizza.

2 Comments:
observation no.2 is ridiculous. not even the stanford cardinal do this. and they're pretty gay already.
maybe pap john's could use some of that money they wasted sponsoring a stadium for making better pizzas instead.
No. 2 is just to protect the University in case of injuries or damage, there are plenty of footballs being thrown during tailgating, I can assure you. Also, the 'Eers are going to get their asses kicked REAL GOOD by the Louisville Cardinals...you can count on that!
