Coal Miner Food

Inspired by Echo's post, I thought I should share some authentic WV mountain food. Pepperoni rolls are the best. They work for every meal, and are excellent companions to West Virginia football games.

It's sad to say that I never got a pepperoni roll from Gene's Place, though we did drink beer there.
Also, I do like Key Lime pie, and I've adjusted the blog accordingly.

The only thing smaller than the pool table at Gene's Place is the room that contains it!

Bruce, I posted as "clain" above so you would recognize me, but I'll prolly use my online name in the future. BTW, you've inspired me! :)

Does this count as authentic WV food?

Oh my god, I can't stop laughing. I think that version of french toast probably qualifies as authentic redneck food.

I was making real French toast this morning and remembered your story. I just had to set up the pic.

So, do you like regular rhubarb, too, or do you need the strawberries to make it work? I think I like it best with strawberries.
