Welcome back, Pittsnogle.

Kevin Pittsnogle led the Mountaineers to a much needed win over Georgetown and redeemed himself after his fluke performance at Pittsburgh. Last Thursday's game left me speechless, but if that loss combined with tonight's win helps WVU beat Uconn and Pitt at home, then good for them. At least last Thursday we got to see that Herber and Collins can drive, and that the bench can pick up the slack when the starters are hurting. Given Pittsnogle's performance, WVU actually played quite well against a great defense. And tonight, by following a horrible performance with a great one, Pittsnogle demonstrated that he is a seasoned athlete who will ultimately come through for the team. So, in a strange way, the loss to Pitt has cemented my confidence in WVU. It's gonna be a great couple of tournaments! Go 'Eers!

Holding G-town to 19 points in the second half is what impressed me most. We seem to be playing well on the road, but I'm glad we get UConn at home.

Especially since WVU usually plays better during the first half. To come from behind and outscore G-town 40 to 19 in the second is impressive indeed.
