how was your roadtrip ?
thats the spirit - Go Steelers !!
Why do you hate the Broncos? Don't you want to see Todd Sauerbrun get a Super Bowl ring? The greatest WVU punter EVER! And isn't Jake Plummer fun to watch?
Of course, the Steelers haven't won a Superbowl in over 30 years. It would be great for the Bus to retire with a ring. Especially since the Super Bowl will be held in his home town of Detroit. What a way to retire! And I really like Big Ben, Hines Ward, and Troy Polamalu. I think that I am rapidly becoming a Steelers fan, which will be great if I can eventually return to the Morgantown-Pittsburgh area for the rest of my days.
I do hope that Seattle knocks off the Panthers, Sauerbrun's former team. And I admit to being amused by another WVU kicker's blunder against the Steelers; I'm speaking, of course, of the Colts' Mike Vanderjerk, er Vanderjagt.
Perhaps I can cheer for the Steelers and hope that Sauerbrun gets another chance someday.
Correction: I meant to say that the Steelers haven't won in about 30 years rather than over 30 years.
Bruce, is your hatred for the Broncos left over from the 80's?
i liked the patriots against the broncos. so i'm not thrilled about your tackling punter sourbum, er sauerbrun. even though he was a WVU Alum. but this alma mater thing can get out of hand.... or its just punters/kickers. vanderjagt certainly is an idiot. talks too much. just shut up and butter your toast boy!
go steelers!!
Yes my hatred is held over from the 80s. 3 losses in 4 years to the Broncos.
Although Vanderjagt went to WVU, he is also Canadian, so that's a push.
"just shut up and butter your toast boy" ....hilarious
Johnny, Sauerbrun is not just alumni. He's the greatest punter in WVU history! The kicker of the ninety yard punt, baby!
I'll cut loose Vanderjerk. Like I said, I found his missed field goal quite amusing.
I was happy to see Denver knock out Tom Brady and the Patriots. I hate dynasties (unless they are my team of choice, of course!)
Sauerbraun was awesome, but it's pretty sad that the best player on the team was the punter.
