Today a student said that his cancer came back and asked if he could finish the semester from the hospital.

Then I laughed.

As soon as I laughed I felt bad. I was laughing at the absurdity of the situation, not at him. It was one of those you-gotta-be-kidding-me-laughs. Plus, he had a weird smirk on his face when he told me.

I'm really not a bad person.

True Mountaineer fan

A Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Pitt and WVU fans were all hiking up a mountain one afternoon.

When they reached the top, the Virginia Tech fan said "I am such a big football fan, I will jump off this mountain for our team. This is for the Hokies!" And he plunged to his death.

Well, not to be outdone, the Notre Dame fan shouted "I too will jump off the mountain in the spirit of our team! This is for the Fighting Irish!" And he too, plunged to his death.

Next, the WVU fan steps up and says "This is for the Mountaineers!" and he pushed the Pitt fan off the mountain.
